Celebration of 400th Anniversary of SGGS Preliminary Topics
On September 1, 1604, Sri Guru Arjan Sahib formally installed the Granth Sahib (a compilation of Gurbani up to that time) at Sri Harmandar Sahib, Amristar, Punjab. Later, the bani of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadar Sahib was added and in 1708 Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib bestowed guruship on the Granth Sahib. Since then, Sikhs refer to it as Sri Guru Granth Sahib (SGGS) and consider it to be the divine word of God. The seminar is being arranged in celebration of Quadricentennial of Compilation of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib (SGGS). The theme will be "Sri Guru Granth Sahib". The tentative topics will include various aspects of SGGS. Please select any topic for your presentation. For example, I would like to select "Sri Guru Granth Sahib An Interfaith Scripture for the entire Humanity."
